Cross-Pollenation Marketing

“Cross-pollenation” marketing is a great way for you to ‘tag-team’ with another business by offering reciprocal presence. Find a vendor or company who does something similar enough to you to be relevant, but not close enough to be competitive. This way, you can each send business the other’s way. Or – better still – offer to perform the service for the client, without them knowing that you personally aren’t doing it. This is a little more risky, so make certain that you trust the other party. I’ve seen this work in my world of precision machining, and I’ve also proven that it as a profitable way to add value to our bottom line.
